The Town of Shrewsbury will be conducting a sewer system maintenance program. As part of these inspections, a contracted team will utilize pressurized water trucks and sewer-jetting nozzles to clean the pipelines, followed by a television inspection employing closed-circuit cameras. The maintenance is set to begin on March 27, 2024.

Residents may observe air escaping through their plumbing fixtures, such as toilets and sinks, due to the vacuum pressure generated during the cleaning process. It is recommended to keep toilet bowl lids closed during this period.

Should you have any inquiries or encounter any inconvenience during this operation, please reach out to the Town of Shrewsbury’s Department of Public Works Water and Sewer Division at (508) 841-8506.
