Publisher of Shrewsbury Lantern, Steve Levine, wrote an article informing that the recent School teacher’s protest for fair contracts got a answer.
According to Levine, he knew “for certain that after several days of standing in sub zero weather in town center holding “Fair Contract” signs, none of the people he spoke with were too excited about doing it once again (the protest).”
In the article Levine said that “has been for many, one of the toughest contracts to negotiate.” And he justified that the reason for what the teachers are working without a contract is because “a finite pool of resources.”
Levine assure that with his article he is spoken for “many” of the people involved in the protest and sent an “special kudos” for teachers Lori Blasioli and Gary Chalmers.
In the end Levine said that he “cannot obviously discuss any of the specifics of the contract which was reached, as it will be first formally announced to the Shrewsbury Education Association membership”.
