Two elderly adults found dead inside Attleboro home after welfare check

ATTLEBORO, Mass.- Two adults were found dead inside an Attleboro home on Wednesday afternoon after first responders forced entry to conduct a health and welfare check, according to local authorities.

Police and firefighters responded to 32 Andover Ave. at 11:28 a.m. on Oct. 14 after a health aide requested the check. First responders were unable to contact anyone inside the home and forced entry.

Inside, they found an elderly man and an elderly woman dead. Investigators also found a dead cat in the home.

Authorities said investigators found evidence of a significant fire inside the house. A preliminary investigation determined that the incident was non-suspicious, but the causes of the deaths and the fire remain under investigation.
