Shrewsbury resident Kevin Forts, 25, former student of Assumption, was arraigned in Worcester Superior Court on charges of submitting threats to Assumption College, reported Gary V. Murray of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.

The letters, reportedly written by Forts, indicated that violence would occur that day at the college.

Forts got attention for sympathizing with mass killer Anders Behring Breivik in an interview with a Norwegian newspaper. Forts said in the interview, that Breivik’s murder of 77 persons (mostly children) in Oslo was a “necessary political sacrifice.”

In September of 2011, police were called to Assumption College to look at documents that were deemed “threatening literature.”

Forts was banned from the school by officials and he was not allowed to graduate, according to the Telegram.

His case is continued to March 25.
