SHREWSBURY, Mass.- A family-friendly fundraising event supporting people and families living with disabilities is coming to the area, offering a day of activities, fellowship and fundraising.
Walk ‘N’ Roll – New England will feature games, worship, a Chick-fil-A lunch, a Wheels for the World® wheelchair collection, and walking and rolling activities in a disability-friendly family environment.
Participants can walk individually or form a team with family, friends or their church while raising funds to support people and families living with disabilities across New England and around the world.
Those unable to attend in person can participate virtually by gathering with friends at a church or in their neighborhood and watching the virtual closing program together.
Registration and family activities will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the walk scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. Registration costs $20. Organizers said people for whom the registration fee is a barrier to participation can contact the event office.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at Liberty Churches, 495 Hartford Turnpike in Shrewsbury.
