SHREWSBURY, Mass.- Reports of a motor vehicle crash and a resulting closure of Route 20 were circulating Friday night in Shrewsbury, although officials had not yet publicly confirmed the incident.
A report from a trusted local source stated that a victim was transported by EMS to an area hospital following a crash on Route 20, near Pineland Avenue. The victim’s condition was not known.
Traffic congestion was visible at the intersection of Route 20, Hartford Turnpike and Pineland Avenue, consistent with reports of a roadway closure in the area.
As of Friday night, no additional information had been located from Shrewsbury police or fire officials confirming the crash or providing further details. Information may change as authorities release additional information.
