MIDDLETON, Mass.- A section of Route 114 in Middleton was closed Wednesday morning following a motor vehicle crash near 177 N. Main St., according to the Middleton Fire Department.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation reported at 6:34 a.m. that Route 114 was closed because of a downed utility pole and said the closure was expected to remain in place for several hours.
Middleton Fire reported at 5:41 a.m. that the eastbound lane had reopened, while westbound traffic was still being diverted down Debush Avenue. The department asked drivers to avoid the area.
Traffic was building up in the area Wednesday morning.
