SUDBURY, Mass.- Wolbach Farm in Sudbury has added a new accessible trail designed to expand access to nature for visitors who use wheelchairs, walkers and strollers.
Sudbury Valley Trustees will hold a grand opening celebration for the All Persons’ Trail on October 4 from 8 to 11 a.m. at its headquarters at 18 Wolbach Road.
The event will include sensory-friendly activities during the first hour, along with birding, forest bathing, story time, music, refreshments and opportunities to explore the trail.
The gently graded trail begins at the parking lot along the Farm House Path and leads to the Picnic Grove, which includes accessible picnic tables and a family gathering area. The Farm House Path also connects to the Woodland Trail, which follows Winter Brook through the forest.
The trails are free and open to the public year-round. The Woodland Trail is approximately 0.6 miles round trip.
“We are so pleased with the continued progress on the All Persons’ Trail at Sudbury Valley Trustees,” said Davnet Conway, SVT executive director.
