Man arrested after alleged lewd acts reported on Maynard rail trail

MAYNARD, Mass.- A 36-year-old man was arrested after police received reports of a person exposing himself and committing lewd acts on a bench along the Assabet River Rail Trail in Maynard.

Jonathan Wicklman, who police listed as having no known address, faces two counts each of open and gross lewdness, lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct, and disorderly conduct.

Police said they received an anonymous complaint on Tuesday, Sept. 15, that included a photograph and two videos. The material appeared to show a person exposing himself and committing lewd acts while seated on a bench near the intersection of Summer and Maple streets.

Police later received another report alleging similar conduct had occurred earlier that same day.

Officers and detectives investigated the reports and worked to identify the person shown in the photos and videos. Police then obtained an arrest warrant for Wicklman from Concord District Court.

Wicklman was located and arrested without incident on the evening of Friday, Sept. 18.
