MEDWAY, Mass.- An 83-year-old West Roxbury man died after a vehicle struck his bicycle on Milford Street in Medway, according to police.
Yuk Foo Chan was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Milford Street at about 7:50 p.m. on September 8, according to the preliminary investigation. The vehicle continued east after the crash.
Milford police officers arrived first near Milford Street and Green Street and found Chan seriously injured. They provided emergency care until Medway police arrived. Medway firefighters continued treating Chan before he was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver was at the scene and cooperated with police. Police are not releasing the driver’s identity while the investigation continues.
Medway detectives investigated the crash with assistance from Massachusetts State Police.
The crash remains under investigation by Medway police and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office. No arrests have been made.
