N. ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass.- A major incident has closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 295 at mile marker 3 in North Attleborough, with heavy congestion reported in the area Friday afternoon.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation reported at 3:17 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, that I-295 northbound was closed at mile marker 3.4 because of a crash.
The Attleboro Fire Department described the incident as a “Major Incident” and advised drivers to avoid the area. The department reported that all lanes were closed.
Several reports of heavy congestion in the area were confirmed.
