OSTERVILLE, Mass.- A woman was found with no pulse in the water off Osterville on August 20 and transported to Cape Cod Hospital after emergency crews initiated CPR, according to the area fire department.
At approximately 12:26 p.m., a boater reported what appeared to be a body floating in the water near Seapuit Road in Osterville.
Marine 1 was launched, and fire department personnel responded to the area. The marine crew located an unresponsive woman in the water with no pulse and immediately brought her aboard the vessel, where CPR was initiated.
She was subsequently transferred from Marine 1 to a waiting ambulance and transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
The Barnstable Police Department and Barnstable Harbormaster assisted at the scene. The U.S. Coast Guard was also notified.
The incident remains under investigation.
