LEICESTER, Mass.- Several unlocked vehicles were burglarized early Thursday morning in Leicester, police said.
The burglaries occurred around 2 a.m. in the area of Winslow Avenue and Paxton Street, according to the Leicester Police Department.
Police are asking residents who had items taken from unlocked vehicles or whose vehicles were entered and searched to contact the department.
Investigators are also seeking surveillance footage showing people in the area during the overnight time frame.
Anyone with information or relevant footage is asked to call the Leicester Police Department at (508) 892-7010, option 8, and speak with a dispatcher.
Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles, noting that unlocked cars can provide easier targets for criminals.
