WALTHAM, Mass.- A man was seriously injured in a shooting Sunday evening near 909 Main Street in Waltham, according to police.
Waltham police officers responded to the area at about 5 p.m. on August 16, 2026, after receiving a report of an adult male who had suffered a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to an area hospital, where he is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The incident remains under active investigation by Waltham police detectives. Police said they believe the shooting was not random and that there is no risk to the public.
