SALEM, Mass.- A body was found floating in the water near Central Wharf in Salem on Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
Salem Police said they were notified at approximately 9:40 a.m. about a body floating in the water in the vicinity of Central Wharf.
The body was recovered, and the investigation remains ongoing. Police said additional details will be released when appropriate.
No information about the person’s identity or the circumstances surrounding the death has been released.
