SHREWSBURY, Mass.- The Hooters restaurant on Route 9 in Shrewsbury, has closed after nearly a decade of operation.
The closure was announced in a statement from the company on May 27, 2026, thanking customers, employees, and the local community for their support over the years. The message said the decision was “difficult” and expressed appreciation for the staff who worked at the location.
The restaurant opened in December 2015 at 291 Boston Turnpike and operated as part of a national chain known for casual dining, including chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, and seafood, along with beverage service where permitted.
