FOXBOROUGH, Mass.- A Boston man faces multiple drug trafficking charges after police in Foxborough stopped a vehicle on Washington Street and determined the driver was operating with a suspended license.
The stop occurred Thursday, May 14, according to the Foxborough Police Department. Police identified the driver as Jarrett Smith of Boston, who was placed under arrest after officers determined his license was suspended.
During a search conducted following the arrest, officers allegedly discovered narcotics on Smith’s person. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of additional narcotics and a large amount of currency, police said.
Authorities said officers seized more than 50 grams of suspected cocaine and more than 25 grams of suspected heroin.
Smith was arraigned Friday, May 15, in Wrentham District Court on charges of trafficking cocaine, trafficking heroin, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and a motor vehicle lights violation.
