RUTLAND, Mass.- A Chevrolet Silverado erupted in flames in Rutland on April 28 after the driver noticed a strong odor and unusual heat coming from the dashboard, according to the Rutland Police Department.
The driver pulled into the Rail Trail parking lot on Wachusett Street, where the pickup quickly became fully engulfed. He exited the vehicle safely, and no injuries were reported.
Officers responded and assisted with traffic control while the Rutland Fire Department extinguished the blaze.
