A Holliston man is facing multiple charges, including assault and battery on a police officer, following an alleged impaired driving crash and hit-and-run incident at a Milford gas station Monday night, according to police.
The Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call on Monday, April 27, 2026, at approximately 9:50 p.m., reporting a hit-and-run crash at the Nouria gas station located at 97 Cedar Street. The caller reported that a silver Audi SUV struck a vehicle in front of the station and then fled the scene toward Fortune Boulevard, where it was involved in a second crash.
Responding officers located a silver Audi SUV that had reversed into a stone wall on Fortune Boulevard, across from the gas station. Police said surveillance footage showed the vehicle striking a parked black pickup truck in reverse, continuing across a grass island, crossing Fortune Boulevard, and ultimately stopping after hitting the stone wall.
At approximately 10:08 p.m., officers arrested Joseph Marsden, 58, of Holliston, on a charge of operating under the influence of liquor. Police said that while in custody, Marsden became increasingly combative, allegedly striking one officer and threatening another.
Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino said, after reviewing video of the incident, “it is a shock that no one was injured.”
Marsden was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, assault and battery on a police officer, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and malicious destruction of property over $1,200.
