Overnight closures at I-495/Mass Pike interchange

MassDOT continues construction on the I-495/I-90 (Mass Pike) interchange improvement project in Westborough, with overnight closures, lane shifts, and ongoing bridge and ramp work affecting traffic across the corridor.

Overnight disruptions remain the most immediate impact. The I-90 eastbound ramp to I-495 northbound (Exit 106) is closed nightly from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. through Friday, May 1. Drivers are detoured via I-495 southbound to Exit 54A in Hopkinton, where they reverse direction to rejoin I-495 northbound. Additional intermittent overnight ramp closures are expected throughout construction.

Daytime traffic patterns remain altered. On I-495 northbound between Exits 58 and 59, a lane split implemented in December 2025 continues to route traffic around an active work zone and is expected to remain in place through spring 2026. On I-90 eastbound, traffic was shifted in July 2025 to support reconstruction of the Whitehall Brook bridge.
