WELLESLEY, Mass.- A well-being check requested by an out-of-state police agency led to the discovery of two children dead inside a home on Edgemoor Avenue late Friday night, according to officials.
The Wellesley Police Department said officers were dispatched around 9:30 p.m. on April 24, 2026, after a Vermont police department requested the check on family members believed to be at the residence.
Upon entering the home, officers located the two children deceased.
The deaths are being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, in coordination with Wellesley Police. Authorities said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
Officials stated there is no known risk to the public at this time. No additional information has been released.
