A vehicle caught fire after veering off the road and into a retention pond near the Price Chopper supermarket parking lot in Shrewsbury late Sunday night.
The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m., and all four occupants were able to escape without injury before the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames.
According to the Shrewsbury Fire Department, crews from Engine 3 and Rescue 1 quickly extinguished the fire upon arrival and later assisted Lovey’s Towing with removing the vehicle from the pond.
