Massachusetts.- Clinton Public Schools reported Monday that a social media post prompted an immediate investigation into a potential threat against one of its schools.
According to Superintendent Steven Meyer, the post was flagged to the FBI, which then alerted the Clinton Police Department. Police quickly investigated, identified a suspect, and placed that individual into custody without incident.
Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the schools, though the case remains under investigation. School officials added that they are continuing to cooperate with police and will provide updates if new information becomes available.
