Hunting season for deer and other big game begins on December 2, 2024, marking a busy time for outdoor activities.
Trail users are encouraged to prioritize safety while enjoying the town’s trails. The deer shotgun season runs from December 2 to December 14, followed by the primitive firearms season from December 16 to December 31.
Wearing blaze orange clothing is strongly recommended to increase visibility and reduce the risk of accidents. While hunters are required to wear it during certain seasons, anyone venturing into wooded areas, including pets, should do the same. Pets can be outfitted with an orange vest or bandana for added safety.
