Having been in operation for over 50 years, the retailer’s decision to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May signaled financial difficulties that led to the closure of all 15 of its stores across Massachusetts. Among these, the Shrewsbury location, which had served the community for over 35 years, was one of the last to remain open.

Our operations are sound. By increasing our financial flexibility, we will be able to focus on continuing to delight our loyal customers with a wide selection of unique goods at affordable prices,” the company’s Chairman Marc Salkovitz affirmed in the May 5 press release announcing their financial situation.
