Presented by the India Society of Worcester (ISW), a Shrewsbury-based organization, this event offers many opportunities to immerse yourself in Indian culture. From vendors showcasing their products to delectable food options, captivating cultural performers, and family-friendly fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
The festival holds special significance as it commemorates the 60th anniversary of ISW, and aligns with India’s Independence Day, which is celebrated annually on August 15 as a public holiday. This important day commemorates India’s liberation from the United Kingdom on August 15, 1947.
Admission to the event is free and will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, as the festivities kick off at noon and continue until 7:00 p.m. The organizers offer discounted parking.
