After twenty-eight years of participating in the program, he has recently been nominated to the Special Olympics Hall of Fame.
Through his involvement with the Special Olympics, Ryan has had the opportunity to travel to various locations around the world, including Nebraska for a soccer tournament, Iowa for bocce, and Abu Dhabi for the Special Olympics World Championships as a member of his basketball team.
In June, Ryan may be inducted into the Special Olympics Hall of Fame, in recognition of his long-standing commitment to the Special Olympics of Massachusetts and his contributions to the community of Shrewsbury.
The Shrewsbury Knights of Columbus (Adelphi Council 4181) honored Ryan during a “Good Morning Shrewsbury” aired on February 14, 2023, in recognition of his achievements.
