Early Jr. and the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) have joined forces for the 15th year to tackle insurance fraud, which in turn helps lower car insurance premiums for all drivers.
On January 25th, the Executive Director of the IFB of Massachusetts, Anthony M. DiPaolo, presented a check to Mr. Early to continue the partnership in 2023.
The IFB estimates that the anti-fraud efforts have saved $28.3 million in losses and an average of $48 per vehicle in Worcester County.
DA Early praised the partnership, saying it has saved millions of dollars in insurance premiums for county residents.
In 2022, the Worcester County DA’s office prosecuted 22 fraud cases and the IFB provided an annual grant to support the investigation and prosecution of staged accidents and fraudulent claims.
The IFB, local police, DA’s office, and insurance company investigators work together to prevent and combat car insurance fraud.
