Free Christmas tree pick-up + bag for PAYT residents

The Town of Shrewsbury is allowing residents participating in the “pay as you throw” (PAYT) program a free additional bag pick-up and a free Christmas tree pick-up.

A regular bag (non-PAYT) per household, up to 35 gallons, could be used to dispose of Holiday gifts leftovers like styrofoam, wrapping paper, toy boxes, etc. The free additional bag could place at the curb from December 26 through December 30, 2022.

The town will also take care (for free) of a natural Christmas tree on regular collection days, from Monday, January 2, 2023, through Friday, January 6, 2023; and Monday, January 16, 2023, through Friday, January 20, 2023.

Only one tree per household will be collected, with no decorations.

There will also be a Christmas tree drop-off dumpster at the Old Beal School (1 Maple Avenue) from December 26, 2022, to January 20, 2023.
