Around 10:40 p.m. on March 28, an upstairs fire was reported on 37 Shady Lane Avenue in the Town of Shrewsbury. All occupants (including pets) escaped the house without injuries.
Photo courtesy of the Shrewsbury Fire Department“The fire originated in a second floor bedroom and is considered unintentional,” the Shrewsbury Fire Department said in a statement. “The home sustained heavy fire damage on the second floor and smoke and water damage throughout the house,” the agency added.
Westborough’s Truck 1 crew helped during the efforts, according to a statement from the agency posted at 11:55 p.m.
