The Town of Shrewsbury is giving residents participating in the “pay as you throw” (PAYT) program a free additional bag pick-up and a free Christmas tree pick-up.
A regular bag (non-PAYT) up to 35 gallons of size could be used for the disposal of Holiday’s gifts leftovers: styrofoam, wrapping paper, toy boxes, etc.
The free additional bag may be disposed of on the resident’s regular collection day, starting on December 26th, and ending on December 31st.
A real Christmas tree could be also disposed of for free on regular collection days, from Monday, January 4 to Friday, January 8; and Monday, January 11, through Friday, January 15. Only one tree per household will be collected and must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m.
