Tony Sacco, a 39-year-old resident at the Shrewsbury Green condominium, was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter in the death of 58-year-old John Riordan inside his Worcester home.
Sacco admitted to pulling Riordan off his bed and striking him several times, to then find out the next morning that the victim was unresponsive.
According to the Worcester District Attorney office, Sacco had initially been charged with aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He was held on $50,000 bail after his arraignment in Central District Court on May 28, 2019.
This indictment moves Sacco’s case to Worcester Superior Court where he will be arraigned on a future date.
