State agency confirms first case of coronavirus COVID-19 infection in Shrewsbury

The Central Massachusetts Regional Public Health Alliance (CMRPHA) announced on March 20th, 2020, that a Shrewsbury resident has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Public health officials are “working closely with the individual and will notify others that the individual may have been in contact with,” according to a press release from the town government, who did not identify the person infected.

The town government opened a COVID-19 information line for Shrewsbury Residents to use at 508-7991019. The line provides facts and information about COVID-19, how to stop the spread, what to do if someone is experiencing symptoms and quarantine information.
