In response to recent attacks on places of worship around the country, the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury is inviting residents to a prayer vigil calling for peace and justice.

“We are experiencing a high level of uncertainty and fear,” the Church says in a statement as recalls of the “most recently profound acts of anti-Semitic violence in New York during the celebration of Hanukkah.”

At the event, open to residents of any religion or denomination, attendees will gather for a time of prayer, reflection, music, and dialogue. It will take place at the Church building (19 Church Road, MA 01545) on Sunday, January 19th, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

For more information, the Shrewsbury Post invite you to visit the Church’s official website here or call (508) 845-7286.
