The Worcester County Environmental Community Agricultural Network (WE CAN), through the Shrewsbury Farmers Market and the Shrewsbury Special Education Parents Advisory Council (SEPAC, are inviting to the International Fair and Diversity Celebration next month, for its second consecutive year. The event is an opportunity for people in the community to learn and celebrate all sorts of diverse cultures, lifestyles and abilities among the neighbors.
According to the organizers, there will be tables with information, vendors, crafts and snack food samples from a variety of countries and cultures, as well as music, art and dance presentations throughout the day, among them classical Indian Dance (Kathak), tabla (Indian drum), Irish step dancing, Brazilian Martial Arts, Nepali dance and others. The organizers are still looking for sponsors, entertainers and vendors, as well as groups and families willing to share their culture with the community.
The event is taking place on Saturday, April 6th 2019, from 4PM to 7PM at the Sherwood Middle School (28 Sherwood Ave., Shrewsbury MA 01545). The event is free and open for everyone, and if you require more information regarding sponsorship opportunities, contact Missy Hollenback via e-mail here.
