During the latest meeting of the Board of Selectmen on Tuesday, December 27th, Daniel Morgado, longtime Town Manager announced his retirement. His almost 20 years of career as the third Town Manager began in 1997, when he was appointed by the Board of Selectmen to succeed Richard D. Carney, and before that, he was the Town Manager of Grafton from 1987 to 1997. He will remain in his functions until July 2017.
According to Selectman Maurice DePalo, the Town will begin to work with a consultant to fill the post, and Kristen D. Las, Town Planner/Economic Development coordinator, was appointed to the dual job of Assistant Town Manager/Economic Development Coordinator. An Administrative Assistant vacancy notice was posted that same day, with a set of requirements per law and a salary offer.
