Shrewsbury State Representative Hannah Kane (Rep) set her position in relation to the public complaint made by a neighbor who suffered racist threats in Shrewsbury last Sunday, February 21st.

“No place for divisive, disrespectful and ignorant comments in our society, spoken by 1 not all,” stated Kane to The Shrewsbury Post on Twitter.

Anjali Priyadarshini denounced that she was crossing the signal at South street when a young man inside a car at traffic light yelled at her to “get off the street and go back before (she) get blown up.”

The public complaint posted on Facebook raised a lot of interactions, messages of support and comments suggesting that it is not an isolated event.
